ProArteDanza proudly presents Season 2015, a stunning evening of three world premieres from September 23 - 26 at Harbourfront Centre’s Fleck Dance Theatre, as part of NextSteps 2015/16. Called “the best small-scale contemporary ballet company in Canada” (Globe and Mail), it is a particulary special season for ProArteDanza, as it is the first year the company will be presenting a program with entirely new creations.

Internationally acclaimed Italian Choreographer, Mauro Astolfi, will present (don’t) Follow the Instructions, a new commission for ProArteDanza that explores questions of social conformity, complicity, and the individual’s reality. ProArteDanza is honoured to have Mr. Astolfi in attendance on opening night, September 23rd, for the premiere of his work!
This new commission will share the stage with the next highly anticipated installment from Roberto Campanella and Robert Glumbek's co-creation of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony Project; Beethoven’s 9th - 2nd Movement. This is the third installment of what will eventually be a four-part choreographic work inspired by Beethoven’s masterpiece.
Dora-nominated dancer, Ryan Lee, will make his choreographic debut with replace/me, a meditation on the relationship of lost and found.
Season 2015 will be performed by an ensemble of accomplished dancers: Ryan Lee, Justin de Luna, Daniel McArthur, Anisa Tejpar, Erin Poole, Kathleen Legassick, and apprentices Liana Bellissimo, Caryn Chappell and Chris Valentini.
Don't miss this evening of incredible dance performed by "astonishing" dancers - you will be "blown away by excellence!" (Mooney on Theatre)
